Ayurveda Panchakarma Detoxification
Panchakarma is Ayurveda’s primary purification and detoxification treatment. Panchakarma means “five therapies”. These 5 therapeutic treatments that help in eliminating toxins from the body are: Vamana, Virechana, Nasya, Basti and Raktamokshana. The series of these five therapies help remove deep rooted stress and illness-causing toxins from the body while balancing the doshas (energies that govern all biological functions).
Before conducting any Panchakarma treatments, your body is well prepared/conditioned by massages, ghee drinking and steam therapy (pre-PK therapies last between 3-7 days).

Sneha oushadhas when used properly
Before doing any pradhana karma (operative procedure), purvakarmas (pre-operative procedures) are to be employed properly, pachana (appetizers, carminative food and medicine), snehana and swedana are said to be purvakarmas. Snehana and swedana helps to detach the doshas from shakaas (extremities) and bring them to the Koshta (stomach & intestine). They (Snehana and Swedana) play a very significant and important role in the Poorva karma (pre-operative procedure) of Panchakarma (bio purification therapy).
Snehapana (medicated ghee drinking) is a process of administering Sneha dravya (medicated ghee) to a person in order to achieve the desired effect of shodhana (purification/toxin removal (Vamana -emesis/induced vomiting& Virechana- purgation/purging).
