its deep and wide market experience to conceive an innovative
and brilliant public telephony model: the Automatic
PIN Telephone Card, a public telephony payment means
for everyone.
An efficient integral solution…
Following a worldwide tender for bids, ETB - COLVATEL
selected SPT Publicom (ex-Schlumberger Public Telecom)
to develop and implement this new idea in 2002. The
first stage of this project comprised almost thirty
thousand indoor and outdoor payphones and one integrated
management system - primarily Paynet NexStep and Insight
Value.
As a result, ETB - COLVATEL has increased the availability
of their payphone network. The well-trained system supervisors
can program the deployment of new promotional fees with
only a few clicks. The system can automatically deploy
the update in less than 2 days! Furthermore, with the
use of Insight Value, ETB - COLVATEL staff is now able
to better understand payphone and user behavior and
trends, identifying hot spots for high traffic or risky
zones for vandalism. These results were used later on
to create a well-based market segmentation that produced
concrete sales promotions.
