induction to Ayurveda courses are:
- Age: 18 or above
- Education: Schooling should
have been completed
- Others:
1. Physically or mentally challenged persons are not applicable.
2. Proficiency in reading & writing in English language
is expected.
3. No restriction of nationality, religion or race.
AYURVEDA THERAPIST COURSE – 2008
Syllabus and Course Schedule
This 6 week (Basic) course provides theoretical and practical
introduction in the Indian Traditional way to various Ayurvedic
therapies and a brief exposure to fundamental principles of
Ayurveda, Ayurvedic pharmacy, diet, body type and approach
to patients. Practice of yoga and meditation are also integral
part of the training programme. Please do not expect the course
to conducted in a western way.
Schedule is subject to change:
COURSE TIMING: 9AM – 12 PM IN THE AYURVEDA CLASS (NEXT TO
DINING HALL)
PRACTICAL 3.30PM – 4.30PM
Students are also required to attend:
YOGA CLASS: 6.30 - 7.30AM ;
YOGA FOR BEGINNERS: 3.00 - 4.00 PM
MEDITATION: 5.30 - 6.30PM
SELF STUDY 2-3 HOURS PER DAY
TOTAL NUMBER OF CONTACT HOURS: 270 for Basic and 400 for Advanced
Students are must come prepared for the class by doing the
daily assigned reading as indicated by the guru from the books
indicated below: Questions may be asked on the assigned readings
and discussed in class. Please speak with the guru for more

Course Structure: BASIC: First four weeks: theory + practical
+ tests. Last two weeks internship at the hospital
IMPORTANT POINTS: · Students are encouraged to discuss Ayurveda
even after class with the Guru
· Do not try to diagnose guests at the hospital without exception
· Please follow all rules as posted on the board and please
take notes in class
· Students who violate rules and regulations will be asked
to leave without a fee refund
